Since 1976 British Airways’ Concordes operated close to 50,000 flights, clocked up more than 140,000 flying hours and travelled some 140 million miles until on the 10th April 2003 British Airways announced that it’s Concorde fleet was to retire that October.

A final week of farewell flights saw Concorde flights at low altitude with over 650 competition winners and 350 special guests as it’s final passengers.
