These cards are based on the 2013 British-American superhero film Man of Steel  which is based on the DC Comics character Superman, co-produced by Legendary Pictures and Syncopy Films, and distributed by Warner Brothers Pictures. It is the first installment in the DC Extended Universe.

Directed by Zack Snyder and written by David S. Goyer, the film stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Laurence Fishburne, and Russell Crowe. Man of Steel is a reboot of the Superman film series that portrays the character’s origin story.

Man of Steel  features a redesigned Superman costume by Jim Acheson and Michael Wilkinson. The costume preserves the color scheme and “S” logo, but adopts darker tones, and notably does not feature the red trunks usually worn by Superman. Zack Snyder said the costume is “a modern aesthetic”.
