Background Info For Paper Jamz.
Paper Jamz was a series of musical toys, produced by WowWee. Introduced in 2010, Paper Jamz were paper-thin musical toys, which included guitars, drum kits, and more. Indeed, they were marketed as “Instant Rock Star” instruments. Notably, there were no physical buttons, knobs or keys to play. Instead, the battery-operated instruments featured a printed, touch-and-gesture enabled surface.
Gibson Guitar Corp sued WowWee on 11/18/2010 in Federal court. Further, the suit claimed that the Paper Jamz guitars copied the looks of some famous Gibson guitars including the Gibson Flying V. The case was dismissed permanently on 01/11/2011. Later, WowWee paid Gibson an unknown sum to license the likeness of Gibson guitars.
Importantly, Paper Jamz made products into 2011. Then, Paper Jamz ceased production.
