Background Info For Roche, Librium and Libritabs:

In 1955, Hoffmann-La Roche chemist Leo Sternbach serendipitously identified the first benzodiazepine, chlordiazepoxide (Librium).  By 1960, Hoffmann-La Roche marketed it as Librium, and it pursued molecular modifications for enhanced activity.  Roche made Librium in capsule form and Roche also made a tablet version called Libritabs.  Doctors use these drugs to treat anxiety, panic, and alcohol withdrawal.  They may also use them for light sedation.
